Next to that Mother Jungle was invited as a speaker at the 11th Mind Mingle Inspirational Festival and were invited to join an incredibly special meeting with the Dalai Lama with the focus on ‘The Need for Secular Ethics in the Modern Education System’. This was a special moment because Spiritual Leader Dalai Lama shared with us about ‘A Happy World’. He told us that more knowledge doesn’t guarantee a happy world. We are seeing very brilliant people, very highly educated, being very unhappy people. In order to be a happy person we should listen to the ancient Indian Values of Ahimsa (non-violence) and Karuna (compassion), which are still relevant today for real happiness. He said to work towards communal harmony, inner peace and wholeheartedness it is time for a revival of Ancient Indian knowledge and principles: “The modern education system, based on Western thought, is more material oriented. We need to implement ‘Karuna’ and ‘Ahimsa’ through our education to ensure harmony, promote humanity, compassion, love and kindness. Karuna brings inner peace and strength. As a result there is less anxiety and fear. With that comes Ahimsa. So in order to carry genuine Ahimsa (non-violence), we ultimately need Karuna (compassion).
